The SOTA Water Ozonator WOZ5 is a true 200mg/Hr Corona Discharge Ozone Generator used for Water Ozonation & Oxygenation. It is powered by 12 Volts DC using an included AC/DC wall adapter. Ozone is a powerful oxidizer and is used to disinfect, sterilize and oxygenate water.

Please NOTE: Ozone generated by a water ozonator, whether using our WOZ5 or another model from a different manufacturer, is NOT intended to be breathed in! It is for water or oil ozonation only. Ozone can be very damaging to sensitive lung tissues if too much is breathed. Small amounts are perfectly OK, just don't inhale deeply directly over the WOZ5 while it is running. Always use an ozonator in a well ventilated area.

The WOZ5 outputs an ozone concentration that is below permissible levels (<0.05 PPM) at a distance greater than 48 inches from unit. Exposure levels of Ozone in air at 0.1 PPM can be tolerated for up to 8 hours before being considered a hazard. With the WOZ5 the Ozone reading in the air is 0.1 PPM or less at 24 inches from the source. At 48 inches from the source, the reading is 0.06 PPM or less.

The WOZ5 ozonator is not a medical grade ozone generator. Medical grade ozone generators are very expensive, generally costing 5-10 times more than an excellent quality non-medical unit such as our WOZ5. Do not attempt to feed pure oxygen into the chamber. This caution applies to any ozone generator on the market that does not have medical grade parts and components throughout.

Most ozonators use internal components made from metals, plastics, etc. that will break down from the corrosive effects of the ozone being generated. This can contribute to premature failure of the generator and, more importantly, introduce contaminants into your drinking water. The most common contaminant is Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). The SOTA WOZ5 utilizes the highest quality materials available, with many parts of medical grade construction. Accurate and reliable laboratory testing has shown there are virtually zero Oxides of Nitrogen produced by the WOZ5.

The reaction chamber inside the WOZ5 generator is made from the highest-quality Fused Quartz Crystal (99.995% pure quartz). The tubing is an ozone-resistant Silicon Air tubing that will not harden, crack or kink. The ozone outlet connection is made from stainless steel, not plastic, which tends to be used by other companies. Even the Ceramic Air Stone uses a medical grade Kynar material for the air inlet pipette. What this extra attention to detail means is that you can expect many years of trouble-free performance, while enjoying the benefits of pure, oxygenated, sterilized water. There is none better in our opinion!
